The crankset is stiff, light, yet pleasing to look at. BB and Chainring is just a bargain for their performance. There is not a single thing I can complain about.
Last but definitely not least, Darkside’s customer service just exceptionally wraps up the whole consumption experience.

J’adore le design, j’adore l’efficacité, les rigidité. Ultra simple a l’installation et et d’utilisation ! Aucun bruits, ou craquement. Ayant d’autres pédaliers de même facture, j’ai pu comparer et le Darkside n’a pas d’égale pour moi, on est clairement sur une très belle manufacture !
J’ai pas hésité longtemps à monter ce pédalier sur mon omnium cargo !

It’s not everyday that a new brand enter the fixed gear crankset market. And even more at a premium price. In the world of Sugino, Miche Pistard or Dura Ace, I have to say I am pretty stunned by this DarkSide crankset.
First, the bottom bracket is smooth. Like really really smooth. The bearings seem to be really good, and now I am curious to see how they ages.
The crank itself is sturdy, and doesn’t seems to care about my Tracklocross rides.
All in all, yes it’s not cheap, but man it’s a very good crank. And the matte black is just gorgeous.
